Here is an example of where safety takes priority over money.
We won this job as we were the only company who insisted on traffic lights due to this protected Oak’s location on a bend of a very busy road.
We were required to reduce this Oak by 6 meters, a very high amount that was only issued by the arboriculturist in an attempt to retain this troubled tree for many years to come.
A MEWP (Mobile Elevated Work Platform) was used as it makes it easier for us to cut smaller pieces, allowing us to ‘aim’ the drop with ease so that none of the debris ended up in the road.
At points a ‘double red’ had to issued on the traffic lights due to the explosive nature of the plentiful deadwood shattering on the road.
We are very grateful that the parish council were so understanding. We revisited the tree in June 2021 and can confirm it has bounced back tremendously.
